Ryan and Susan were married on May 1. You can see their engagement session here. Their wedding was the perfect mix of simplicity and elegance. It was a fairly non-traditional wedding which you’ll see once you get to the wedding pie pictures.
This one is my favorite:
The wedding pie I was talking about:
Neither of them like cake, so they had pies.
This is the first senior shoot I’ve done since I was a senior myself. It was really fun and I hope to do many more the summer for the seniors of 2010!
Stephen and Valerie met in Ohio while working at a job together. According to their coworkers and friends, they pretended that they weren’t dating at the beginning of their relationship. They would slip out for lunch and walks together. Valerie is from Indonesia and moved back while she and Stephen were still dating. They spent two whole years apart, only seeing eachother 4 times! That’s a huge inspiration for any long distance relationship. They are now together at last and so much in love. I was honored to share the day with you two! It was a beautiful wedding and Valerie was an even more beautiful bride 🙂 Seriously she’s breath taking! I went a little overboard on posting the bridal shots…

On Sunday was my first engagement shoot of the year and the weather was perfect! We went downtown and spent hours walking around shooting pictures. I’m not going to lie, I’m incredibly proud of this shoot. My goal was to be more creative, and I think I’ve accomplished that pretty well. Enjoy!
So that’s what I look like when I’m shooting… (I took it with me in there on purpose):
And I always have to get a creative ring shot:
Susan should seriously be a model. She photographs beautifully! I can’t wait until their wedding in May. She’s going to be such a gorgeous bride. What a great couple!
A photographer friend Scott Clark took professional pictures of me for my website. They turned out really great. It was different being on the other side of the camera. I really had no idea what I was doing! Here are the ones he put of me on his blog. Its funny because we chose very different shots as our favorites.
This one is my favorite 🙂
Here are a bunch of “color splash” photos. I do these in photoshop and they are really fun.
This was really my first professional shoot with a one year old. What a way to challenge my picture taking skills! This little guy was on the move. I don’t think he stayed in one place for more then a couple seconds! I had a blast and I am absolutely loving the pictures I captured.
Hope you enjoy them too!
This one is my favorite:
Luke and Susan’s wedding was in Cleveland, Ohio on January 3rd. Fortunately the weather was nice for all of the travelers. I had a great time with this family and I get to photograph Susan’s brother’s wedding in April. Here are some shots from the day:

I love the brides facial expression in this photo, so sweet!

This little cutie recently learned how to walk and was trying out dancing. Every once and a while, she would lose her balance and fall down:
