I typically shoot newborn photos in the clients home but in the midst of a move, Brian & Adrienne chose Berkeley’s campus to be their location. I’m so glad they did because not only did they meet at Berkeley, but it is where Adrienne told Brian she was pregnant with sweet little Maeris (‘little bear’).
I am a sucker for meaningful shoots and there was no short of them with this family. We got photos of little Maeris with the teddy bear Brian bought right after they found out they were having a baby. We included the sweet little note attached to the bear figurine Adrienne gave to Brian on the front entryway of the white building in these photos to tell him they were having a baby. They called Maeris “little bear” up until she was born and it’s such a cute little nickname. I also learned during the shoot that Berkeley’s mascot is the bear which made all the bear stuff even more significant!
Little Maeris was such a trooper in her tiny blue dress. With ‘Fog-ust’ upon us we had a pretty cloudy evening for their shoot. I’m still pretty new to the SF area and am proud of my new learned word (Fogust = Fog + August in San Fran). She was such a bright-eyed little sweetie and braved the cool evening! I had so much fun with you guys and I can’t wait until next time!
